Custom Pool Construction

A custom pool is built around your yard, your home, and how you plan to use the space. Nothing starts from a stock shape. At Santa Clarita Custom Pools, we design and build gunite pools for homeowners in Santa Clarita and nearby communities. We are a family-owned company with over 25 years of experience.

Many of our clients come to us because a standard pool will not fit their lot, or because they are redoing the whole backyard. Slopes, tight side yards, and drainage are common in the Santa Clarita Valley, and we plan for them from the start. We manage the work in-house, from the first consultation through permitting, construction, and finishing.

Our Pool Remodeling Process

Every pool follows the same basic path. The details change with the lot, but the order stays the same.

1

Consultation and Site Evaluation

We start by talking through how you want to use the pool and what you want from the yard. Then we visit the property.

We measure the yard and look at slope, drainage, equipment access, utilities, and any easements or setbacks that limit where a pool can go.

2

Design & Engineering

We prepare preliminary drawings that show the pool's shape, size, and location. Once the layout is settled, we move to detailed engineering plans for the structure and equipment.

Tile, coping, decking, and finish choices are made during this phase, using samples so you can see how the pieces fit together.

3

Permitting & Approvals

New pools in Santa Clarita go through City Building & Safety review, and the plans must include barrier and drainage details. The City may also ask for a soils report on some lots.

We prepare the plans for review. Permit requirements depend on the scope of work and local regulations, so we confirm what applies to your property.

4

Excavation, Plumbing, Electrical, and Gunite

Once permits are in place, we excavate and set the steel. We then coordinate plumbing, electrical, and gunite application in sequence so each step supports the next. Construction often takes eight to twelve weeks, depending on pool size, site conditions, and weather.

5

Finishing, Equipment, and Startup

We complete the tile, coping, decking, and interior finish. Then we install the pool equipment and finish the startup procedure.

The goal is a pool that is ready to use as soon as construction wraps up.

Custom Pool Options

We build gunite pools in a range of shapes and features. Most projects combine a few of the options below.

Geometric Pools

Geometric designs use straight lines and clean angles. They suit modern homes and formal yards, and they work well in narrow spaces because the shape follows the lot.

Freeform Pools

Freeform pools use curves and flowing edges for a more natural look. They pair well with landscaping and sloped yards.

Water Features & Lighting

Sheer descent waterfalls and bubblers add sound and movement. LED lighting makes the pool usable in the evening.

We plan the plumbing and electrical for these features early, since they are hard to add cleanly later.

Interior Finishes. Tile, & Coping

Interior finish options include plaster, quartz aggregate, and pebble. Tile and coping frame the pool edge.

We select these to match your home's exterior.

Spas & Tanning Ledges, Baja Shelves, and Seating

We can add a spa to the design, including a raised spa. We plan its placement and equipment together with the pool so both work as one system.

A tanning ledge is a shallow shelf for lounging. A baja shelf is a wider shallow area with room for chairs.

We can also build seating into the pool so you have a place to sit in the water.

The point of using dummy text for your paragraph is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters. making it look like readable English.

Baja Shelf

Coaches with medical backgrounds and professional sports experience.

Seating Pool

Industrial design and a powerful sound system tuned for victory.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to build a custom pool?

Do I need a custom permit to build a custom pool in Santa Clarita?

Yes, new pools in Santa Clarita go through City Building & Safety review. Exact requirements depend on the scope of work and local regulations. We handle the plans and confirm what applies to your property.

What safety features does a new pool need?
